I like the microtiger mops for storefront (and residential). Lots of scrubbing power for greasy fingerprints.
Get the Moerman pole, it’s nicer.
Ninja scraper - might want 6 in but I wouldn’t worry about it until you’re ready for construction cleans.
I wouldn’t go sorbo right off the bat for a newbie. I’d recommend stainless steel. It’ll be easy to handle and develop a technique. The widebodies take some experience to use. I STILL can’t use them and I’ve been doing this for 8 years, just have no need for them.
Get a damp microfiber cloth and you might find you don’t need the bronze wool. Bronze wool has a place, but don’t think you need it for storefront.
So all the ettore seem to be “pro+”. If I got the “Ettore pro+ super system handle” would that be a good choice and should I get the ettore stainless steel channels?
Yeah, it’s the contour that sucks for me. It’s designed to be 0 degree, but as I fan a window I find the handle folding on me. So just get the Pro Supersystem (NOT zero degree and NOT contour).
I have to one up @JaredAI and say, although the Moerman is nice, get the Garelick 8’ because it doesn’t have the cone adapters, which are cumbersome. You just twist and lock. They are very light as well.
Also, Go to Lowes and get a package of rubber chair leg caps (large) to put on the end of the pole so it doesn’t slide on tile floor.
Yeah, but the garelick needs a wooden dowel (or an ettore tip) and they’re super hard to unlock when your hands are wet. I used the garelick for a year and my ettorlick wasn’t bad. But I like the moerman pole moer better.
True. Good points.
Idk, the Ettore poles they sell at Lowes still are the best to me. Fits Moerman and Wag. Twist and lock. Multiple sizes. Last a long time.
Garelick poles are preferred by our employees, since I buy them I hate them. They only last for one year, seems in winter, salt gets in them or something, threads strip out and they just spin, can’t lock after that.
Might want to start with a smaller channel. I finally got an Excelerator several days ago and I L O V E the 10 degree fanning with swivel . I was using an 18" channel but I probably should have been using something smaller to learn with.
Buy extra Liquidator end clips too. Even though I use super glue on mine they still come off.
I had a clip go flying off in a messy room and I couldn’t find it. That job was a hassle. The silly “handyman (alleged)” built new screens the year before and didn’t put handles on them and installed some of them backwards. The interior glass had to be steel wooled over and over. The windows hadn’t been cleaned for many years and the previous occupants had a growing operation, so all the film on the windows was from years of weed smoking residue.
