High Rise Training

I have a feeling we dont have all that many High Rise folks on this forum… But if any on the east coast happen to be reading… I am looking to get some training. I would like to come and work for free for a week, and learn the "ropes’

If anyone is interested in having me I will travel most anywhere… The east coast would be preferable.

Let Me Know Thanks.

WOT!!!

This is news to me! Very nice big Chris…its about time big homie! Time to break you in.

Im sure Chris will get us some Video of him on the the high rise.

i am a high rise window cleaner in Philadelphia. It will take more than a week to get the training you want. There is a lot to learn and every job is different from rigging issues to overhangs and insets

How many companies are out there in Philadelphia??

A week of training is enough to get you killed. I would be happy to train you if you are willing to get documented, and then certified through either SPRAT or IRATA. Pm me for more details.

Hey Jeff,

I liked the news program you were involved with. Makes me remember the self rescue training you gave at the IWCA convention in Reno. That’s as high rise as I will ever get.

I agree with Jeff. I am SPRAT certified myself and would highly recommend going that route.

Try learning through YouTube! There is nothing you cannot learn on that website.

High-Rise training is an in the field process after a in the classroom sessions, to learn to do high-rise descending and self ascending/descending for self rescue from You Tube is not good advice, actually it’s poor advice and may cause someone their life !

Rethink your advice !

You get that training yet chris?

timczech is my old partner. we hung together on the toughest buildings together. to answer your question, theres 2 union companies and about 3 non union. the one company is a double breasting company. one for the union work (lwc city) and one for the non union work (lwc services). timczech works for the union entity. thats just for the high rise work.
theres a lot of bucket bobs and crackheads on bikes all over the place.

I know one of the union shops is ANSI (used to be Penn Window Cleaning or something like that) I used to work for ANSI here in Illinois.

All very useful to us newbies, thanks for the info.

turbo tool

I wish there had been all the training that is available today back when I started doing rope work. I started with the Genie 2 line system and moved into the rappel racks. When I bought my first mule from Fitch, I thought we were ready to tackle anything

How did you like working for ANSI?

Are you asking about high rise companies or just in general

I’m asking about ANSI, specifically.

Agreed. Anything with altitude, you need hands on. I’d love to get into this.

From what I heard of ANSI, they treat you like a sub. But pay you like crap
