I pay $15.48 per lead here in L.A. Itās frustrating when theses potential clients donāt answer or call you back. But I have landed big deals with them , and some of theses clients have refer me there friends and neighbors.
So I guess the investment is good in the long run. Not too much in the short run

Contemplated using em, a fellow small business here swears by them and built up using them his first several years and now he says he is starting to wean his company off of them.
I think they are a tool in the toolbox, used wisely they could be great.
I just hate the idea and the temptation of building a large portion of my incoming business on the back of someone elseās, I donāt want to be dependent on how THEY do.
I also donāt want to support a company that seems to do some shady advertising (fake gutter / window companies) some of which is in my areas. Why would I give them my $$ to advertise against me and increase their visibility - just so I can make a buck using them? I feel my $$ is better spent focusing on putting that $$ into local advertising and making my company the go-to source for my community.
As a small company, and first year full-time business owner - I think I will be farther ahead doing learning how to effectively market myself vs. leaning on another.
(All that said - I am trying a small run on living social as a āshot in the armā to get me through the rest of this winter, limited it at 60 buys. Iām pretty slow so itās more of a test out of pure curiosity than big hopes to make any $$)

They quoted me $29.99 a month and $13.xx for every lead. Does this sound right? I am thinking of doing it and be real specific with my zip codes I choose.

I do recommend choosing zip codes wisely. I only have the top zip codes, so if I get a lead, good chance itās going to be a pretty big job.
