How busy are you guys right now?

Good time to build in some route work, maybe? That’s on my to-do list for some upcoming days where I have empty slots.

Or chill by the pool :sunglasses:

we’ve been doing actually really well this august. I had to pause marketing for a couple of weeks. I’m thinking September is going to be a little slow though… historically its probably our worst month of the season

Only worked 1 day this week , so I took advantage and gave our half bath a little face lift . Took me 4 days , removed old sink , mirror and lights. Had to do some Sheetrock patching , tile work and electrical . Also installed new faucets with vanity, and new lighting . Took a while to figure out how to install the faucets and the drain , actually I got a little anxiety because I had to cut the vanity in the back because the plumbing wasn’t aligning . So yeah it’s still slow

These water restrictions are killing me. Denville just outright banned outdoor water use.

no bueno.

My work van were stolen over the weekend. It was a really old van so I was stupid and got liability only. I won’t be working for a couple of days, at least. Thankfully we have bad weather but sadly we have bad weather. No money

August and September typically does slow down, but I’ve found this year to be unusually slow.

I think it is a combination of people having less funds and figuring they’d go with dirty windows a bit longer.

Picked up quite a bit for me now :slightly_smiling_face:

This is my 7th August and it is as slow as expected. My daughter and 3 young grandchildren were here for 3 weeks so I didn’t mind the slowness.

August is normally rainy but it is usually a light fog/drizzle rain that I can work in. This August has been constant heavy rain. I have never had to reschedule and delay WC jobs this much.

We did get some carpet cleaning and floor waxing jobs this month, that made up for some WC slack. Getting frequent calls for gutter cleaning too. My son and I are building a plan to make a serious expansion into carpet cleaning and floor waxing. He is getting married and needs more money in the off season.

Wanted to revive my old thread.

How busy are you guys right now!?!?

This year has been real good, best one yet so far.

Had pretty steady work since mid March.

May is looking real good, booked up until Memorial day.

The weather here has been shit too, it should be in the 70s next week so I’m expecting a lot more calls then.

Hopefully this lasts at least until August lol

Weird start because of the weather, Super warm in February, then winter returned in March. It still feels like early spring in May here right now.

We’re still booked halfway through June, but it feels… well… boring lol

Yup, if there’s one thing I learned this year it’s how to work in the rain

Booked through late June and still getting slammed with new leads. Trying to find places in the schedule to fit in smaller house washes and such. This is the best spring I can remember, personally.

Last year didn’t exactly go as planned for some personal reasons. But I could see cracking 120+K this year if things keep up the way they are now.

not in so cal, after 10 dry sunny winters its payback with one of the wettest ever and still rain happening and even snow in the mountains in May

it should be bbq’s and 90’s temps and its highs in the 50’s and jackets

we’re gonna lose our reputation of sunny california lol

My new passion is soft washing lol

I didn’t realize how much better it is with a 4gpm or better setup.

Year to date up $1500 over last years revenue at this time, which rules considering the amount of rain days we’ve had so far.

Turning down more work then I take on.

Two dudes in startup mode want training so they are handling some easy sub work. Kids these days…

Raised prices more than usual this year I’m so busy but happy.

Be safe out there dudes :sunglasses:

I was driving to my first job the other day it was down pouring. My mind was f-ing with me. It was like the devil/angel scene in animal house.
:innocent: Just go get it done / :imp: Go home it’s going to be a mess today.
I was stuck in traffic too i had to detour , and go a longer route the detour was back towards my house too. The devil lost , I got it all done  , and it stopped raining as soon as I pulled up , and didn’t start back up the rest of the day.

Ya man I’m not letting rain stop me , unless they’re calling for a wash out.
