So I’m starting to see how useful a standoff would be on some of my homes and also a “leveler” to use for either of the ladder legs. What do you guys use??? I heard werner is good. I have the little giant revolution xe that i cart around everywhere. I think its a great ladder but Im hoping standoffs are universal because it looks like they’re version stinks. Oh yeah and adjustable standoff would be nice.
i use werner 97p stand-off and pk80-2 leg levelers, but i doubt they are compatible with you ladder
I use the Werner quick connect standoff (it will fit on the LG but you need to extend the top section most of the way up to have the right area to connect it) and for leg leveling I use the Pivit tool. Absolutely the most sturdy way of leveling a ladder I’ve ever found. Pivit ladder Tool ladder supporter
Hey Tony, have you ever had a problem with that thing sliding side-to-side? The quick click stand-off
Bloody hate the heavy cumbersome little giant(i let my neighbor barrow it and never got it back)…I got my leg levelers from Ladder Levelers, LLC* Xtenda-Leg they are heavy duty and work great…I use the Werner quick connect, and will be getting a wide set(i forget the name)…my buddy has a custom made set, perfect for dormers!!
Werner 97P
There’s some play, but if you are set-up correctly (climbing slow enough, belt buckle between, 4:1, square to surface, level) there won’t be any problem.
On my LG knock off it doesn’t move at all. I’ve used it on a 32 ft fiberglass several times and never had it move.
A 32’ FIBERGLASS…MY OH MY thats got to a real beast Tony. Why would you choose a fiberglass over an aluminum ladder ?
Oh by the way HOWDY !
I prefer aluminium, and I like and have the ALADCO extensions 28’ / 40’, their pricey but an excellent
ladder, I also have a 32’ Werner.
Dangerous Dave
I rent the bigger ladders when needed and for safety reasons our local rental place doesn’t do aluminum in that size.

Howdy I’m the Dangerous one but you can call me Dange if you like…
I’d get rid of that little giant type ladder, they’re great for home owners or contractors…
They’re to heavy for our type of work. Extension ladders are not as heavy and easier to handle ! ALUMINUM…get a 28’er and a 32’er anything lower you should be using sectional ladders, these 3 type
of ladders are the way of the " SONS of ETTORE " ( eg true window cleaners ) !!
The levelers that I’ve posted are the best type to use on ladders, they’re quick and easy no extra baggage.
Still leveler are a safety element necessary for life and limb, as well as the stand off / stabilizer bar. It’s good to see your interested in these safety tools. Anyone not using these boost there chances for serious accidents. Ladder work is highly dangerous and cleaners lose their lives and or are seriously injured ( knock on wood ) when they over or under extend themselves, sometimes even when all seems balanced !

Another stand off to use is the LeveLok Open Rung Standout Bracket, These work great on open rung ladders and sectionals
You can get these LevelLok levelers here at WCR or at Lowes
These levelers also work very well…I use these on all my ladders up to 32, WCR doesn’t carry these though !'
Well Pow-Man, these are my thoughts coming to you from a " SON OF ETTORE " . Be safe and think safe my fellow Cleaner.

I just bought a werner quick click, because of the advice given on here from the guys havent had the chance to use it tho. I have the adjustable ladder levelers…LOVE THEM!
Definitely levelok. I like them because they are really heavy duty, but with the quick connect you dont have to carry the extra weight until you need them. Its also an inexpensive way to get all your ladders outfitted. I have had mine for about 3 years now and they are still holding up really well. That says alot considering the wear and tear we put on our equipment. Levelok really innovated this idea and though I had previously used other levelers, these are exceptional in my opinion. Levelok also does that cool standoff design. I have quick connect and bracketed standoffs, but that design is ingenious. I never felt comfortable with the warner quick connect.
Thanks for everybodys help. I just got the werner quick connect from Lowes and used it today on my LG 22’
Overall it worked OK I guess. But to be fair im sure it will fit completely different on a Werner ladder. I might just have to return it and go for the LG stabilizer.
Only thing is after reading these posts im thinking it might be time to ditch the little giant. Cost me 500 bones though!

BTW… is that a NONO?
Yes Pow-Man…
This is a MAJOR NO-NO…This is a perfect spot to use 3 and a 1/2 sections of a sectional ladders a 6’ vee-grove tip 2 6’ mid sections and a 4’ or 5’ base . You could set the tip on the frame that is moving upwards ! Sectional are highly functional…

You shouldn’t get rid of the little giant. i love that ladder its perfect for those weird hard to access windows on a first floor. As for anything higher you should invest in extension ladders.
I’ve done it with my 97P arms and wide-ass pads near the frame on both sides about 24’ up.
CCU commercial up on a roof prior to buying my sectionals.
I’m up there now with my Gardiner on the maintenance cleans.
Its funny because I though eh itll be ok but as I got up there it just didnt feel right. My instincts were saying what are you thinking?! get down! Yet ive been reading through old threads on this exact topic: Ladder on glass - yay or nay? And everyone seems to have a different opinion on it all. I think most people say nay.
Nay.
But to each their own I guess.
