You’re welcome

Men’s Longtail T Jersey Polo - Duluth Trading

hope this helps.

You must be high!
I have gotten many customers from the back of my shirt while @ Dunkin donuts or other places I stop. You seem to be stuck in your own world of bullshit. Good luck

I can see Pagliachi’s point, although I don’t completely agree with it. I consider it more like passive advertising, which is very different from active advertising. (Not to get a debate started, and not to be argumentative toward Pagliachi, who’s posts and opinion I respect)

My reasons for wanting my info on a shirt are:

1: Professionalism. Right now I wear unmarked polo shirts or tee shirts. No consistency (which is very plain on my website photos…NOT a good first impression for my prospective customers)

2: Yes, PASSIVE advertising. If 1000 people walk by and only one calls me because of what they see on my shirt, yeah, I’ll take that one.

i insist my workers wear cheap looking trackies, hoodies , hats of any type but not bowler and cheap trainers . they must be clean . as said, its all about image .

What about doing a shirt with just your business name and a big ol’ QR code (containing company contact info) on the back? Do you think people would be likely to scan it, or would it just look stupid and be useless?

I think it would just look stupid and useless. And I’m not sure how easily it would scan, depending on whether the fabric lays flat.

But you’re welcome to try it!

Yeah, that’s kinda what I figured.

These are my uniforms. Just had the hoodies printed up recently. Used to where college hoodies. But with a Henley or a base layer under garment I can be pretty comfortable down to about 25 degrees. And I got heavier coat for colder.

I won’t even talk to Dunkin donuts customers, They ain’t on my level!!!

And I’ve got to say that I think pax was trying to say that someone seeing you working is what gets them to ask for a card, or get your number to come bid a job, Not having a phone number on your shirt, which is really just a personal preference.

Here’s a picture of some of my old work shirts from 3 seasons ago.

Notice what I put on the back. Got more reactions from that then I ever would get from a phone number. I guarantee that!!!

You could have a point, but the flip side is the branding of your company and people seeing your vehicle, employees or self uniform shirt, flyers, etc. with your company logo.

FedEx shirt, pants, hat, truck wrap; Midway Plumbing shirt, hat, truck wrap; Randy’s Electric shirt, hat, truck wrap. They all become recognizable so when someone needs a window cleaner and can’t think of any…oh but wait, I have seen Super Sparkle Window Cleaning all over town - or, who are those guys in the grey T-shirts? Which one stands out?

^ Garry those shirts are 3 seasons old. We no longer use them. Our new shirts are branded with company logo. And I totally agree with what you said.

I was referring to the fact that a phone number on the back of your shirt is optional. It’s not a deal breaker. A phone number on your shirt does not separate you from anyone in my opinion. Being seen while working and wearing the same color/ logo is way more important.

If a passerby is interested in your service, they will talk to you, or think of you after the fact. But I’ve never heard of someone being like “what was the phone number on the back of that window cleaners shirt we saw downtown?.. Oh yeah it was (123) 456-7890.”

I get that totally. But it doesn’t hurt to offer a business phone number if the space is available. Engaging conversation with potential customers always leaves the opportunity to take a card out ones pocket and offer it too.

I got a $3800 job by talking to someone at Dunkin’ Donuts
i’ll make sure to stay on my level make plenty of money
thanks for nothing

Here’s my Uniform

Basic polo
I also have a hoodie version of the same thing

Dang!!! Dunkin doughnuts is BALLIN.

Hey man. You didn’t see the smiley face I put after my statement??? (Usually a statement followed by a smiley face indicates some form of sarcasm in my book at least)

Don’t take offense please. And as a pointless side note, I’ll bet the job you got was not from a phone number on the back of your shirt. It was likely from the fact that you were out working and they prolly asked you for a card or to come bid for them.

My whole point was that people seeing you working and looking professional while you work is a good way to pick up jobs. I do it all the time. We do our route for 2 days every two weeks. So I have a little bit of experience with getting jobs from passerby.

Boy…people get touchy about soaps, ladders, WFP vs Traditional, and now phone numbers on shirts!

…it’s going to be a long winter.

It’s only a matter of time before threads start ending up in here:
