oh here’s the kicker. when i got to the hospital to check on them. i walked in his room…there it was the bag of candy…bloody and muddy!
they had to crawl out of the back window to get out of the truck. he actually went back to get the candy. that’s right…OMG!
as far as punishment…did i mention he is leaving in march and moving to california? there was no punishment… the story is soooo complicated! i certainly can’t tell it here.
Funny you mention him crawling back in the truck for the candy.
The first time we had a truck totaled I went to get the guys who where involved. One of the guys started right up with me with a “do you believe the cop won’t let me go in there to get my cigarettes?” I just said, “thats BS man” If you saw the truck he got out of and where it was you would not deny this kid a smoke. Oh well.
couple of bags of peanut m&ms, couple of paydays, some kind of corn chips…bbq of course…i can’t even remember them all. he was braggin’ how they had just gone to wal mart the night before to stock up! good grief.
please if you can figure this guy out based on that information…i wish you the best.
he is textbook…everything “crazy”
this actually brings up a question I was going to ask…As far as hiring employees…let them use a company vehicle?..or thier own? I am presently looking to get a bigger truck…my present truck is excellent with cap/ladder rack/logos. but instead of selling…maybe hold onto it for future employees. The cap wont fit on the next truck I get…looking for input from people who have employees…what you think is the best way
most definitely use company trucks. and definitely hold on to the one you’ve got…i just hope you have no emotional attachments to it.
i let a guy a few years ago use his own truck…then he felt it was completely reasonable when “things” went wrong with it i should always pay for it.
Yeah, see I needed a new belt after a gas can spilled in the truck and soaked my old belt which was just a cotton weave belt. I figured the gas smell would never come out, so I went to buy another. They only had that padded belt and a nylon belt for 5 dollars which looked very uncomfortable, wasn’t flexible at all.
I thought the padded tool belt was for an old man ya know, like a brace of some sort. But it was it or the stiff nylon one, so I went ahead and got the old man belt.
I’ve totally changed my mind on it now. It’s super comfortable. You can tighten it tight enough where it will not start falling down halfway through the day and because it’s wider then most belts it doesn’t become uncomfortable.
