Plastic Razor Blades

Has anyone seen any plastic razor blades that may fit a triumph or any scraper?
I have seen plastic scrapers/putty knifes at the hardware stores and will
use that as a last resource.
Reason for asking is I am training my 2,485 day old grandson “The Craft” this summer
And not going to give him a RAZOR razor blade to use as/in his tool belt.
Man I can’t imagine the taunting the bullies would give him at school cuz he is missing a finger.
And then I’d have to hear it from his mother…
Nope. Some type of plastic for him.

Why not just let him use a spackle knife. Ever since I saw grateful view using it. I thought it wasn’t a bad idea

I’m thinking lexan sheets from home depot.

Or maybe just take one of your old razors and grind it down then sand it smooth?

Oh no… not that video again!

I have not see any good size plastic razor blades…only the little 1" ones.

Something to he aware of (some may not know), if you use a plastic scraper on glass with FD the plastic scraper MAY dislodge the FD causing scratches.

So true - even metal or abrasives get lodged in plastic, causing more damage than a metal blade could ever do.

If its not scratching glass it aint working

My gs will be training on storefronts
Since most storefronts will be hard ( tempered) glass I am not to worried about
Plastic scratching it.
Looks like I will check out the plastic putty knifes

Unfortunately this is the opposite, since the glass is tempered there is a high chance of Fabrication debris being present. The plastic blade may dislodge these and cause scratches.

In my area commercial glass is scratched up so bad from the window painters that it wouldn’t matter. Which would make it perfect to practice on.

You can find plastic razors from sign shops. We used to use them for taking off vinyl from windows and the body. They will fit any normal size razor holder.
