In the past, I have allowed you to draw me into nit picking & hijacking situations that became an eye sore to those seeking knowledge. You can’t possible think anyone was stupid enough to buy that you started this thread with honorable intentions.
Dissecting posts in order to make yourself feel superior is not the aim of any forum.
Helping others with serious input, not telling everyone what’s wrong with theirs posts is what forums are about.
If you cannot engage me with constructive thoughts on the subject matter then frankly, I don’t need you.
I have never came here or to any other window cleaning forum acting as if I had all the answers. But rather I have been willing to ask and listen and then graciously report my events as they have occurred. I have watched you become increasingly intolerant of me, I know in part because I have taken my shots also. I don’t proclaim to be a guru/genius/czar/pimp of window cleaning. And by the same token, allow me to school you by stating neither are you any of those things. What I am is an intelligent guy with a college degree that would never allow a twisted troll like you to bait me into oblivion.
I won’t enable you to take my posts down paths they are not intended for.
I feel allowing you to continue is a case of enabling you to participate in this dysfunctional dialogue and not helpful to anyone including yourself. Some may opt to say that it is okay when you interact in such a manner, I prefer to call it a mental health issue instead. I haven’t decided if you have an exaggerated ego or just plain ole low self esteem. In any case, there is a reason why you decide to take it upon yourself to be the one that stands out. Ok did you get any “learnin” done from your poll larry? Did you really need to take a poll to figure out for yourself if using a WFP on skylights would spot? Who cares what Doug said. Really, couldnt you have figured that out yourself since you say that you own and use a WFP. Or did you just want to put Doug on blast like that. Im with Dwight on this one, im not dumb enough to think you started that poll with the intentions of “learnin”. But you probably dont care what i think.

Perhaps I provided the opportunity for others to learn – with over 1,200 members here, the opinions of a poll (and some have agreed with the definitive statement in question) benefit many.

Here goes my soapbox - If Larry wants to put up a poll and he says it’s for the enlightenment of others then why not believe that? If someone finds it offensive, well I think many of us have had a disagreement or two over things as simple as what soap we use. I have had spirited discussions w/ Larry and Doug in the past and come away the better for it. What do I mean? I had the chance to examine (rather thoroughly) my stance on a given subject and either adjust what I was doing or feel better about my choice and the opportunity to talk about it. That is why I support anyone’s right to post about a subject whether they use that piece of equipment or not. OK I’m off my box now!
People can have knowledge without experience. Larry has a lot of knowledge.
Some people can have a little experience and come off as knowledgeable.
If someone says something can’t be done, when it can, then it’s nice to have someone correct the error. JMO
Larry likes to use this stuff when he deems it necessary.
panefreak, re-read larrys post hes pretty much saying he has limited knowledge and use of wfp, so how can larry come of as “knowledgable” on the topic of wfp? There are still 3 people who agree with what Doug has said and one of them being one of the pioneers of wfp out on the west coast. Are those guys full of crap? Anti bull**** spray, please. He needs to man up and just straight out say hes got a problem with Doug and spare the “enlightenment”.

I began the poll because I doubted the definitive statement made, and wanted to receive feedback from experienced users.
That would be my line of thought. Whether or not it is “owned up” to is peripheral to me. I aired my thoughts not caring if anyone cared. Sometimes the truth must be told.
I would say that you can’t take what a few guys in one geographical area say as the definitive answer. If Troy doesn’t get good results that is his experience. The poll is saying that his experience isn’t in the majority at this moment as tallied from several other geographical areas. You may have a similar experience to Troy and Doug but aren’t you guys in the same general area (weather-wise)? Just a thought.
