I may be contacting him, I refuse to get played by these freeking thieves
you need one of these about once a year to give you the correct mindset for future new enquirees . i would not get even using vandalism (altho iv done that ,pushing a bamboo sliver into the doorlocks )but it does not feel good unless you see a busted glass where they had to break in .
However i would keep turning up at their door in person ,pleasant everytime, theyll likely pay up as they wont be able to properly relax not knowing whose knocking each time .

Ringing every other day.
If you have mobil phone, tex them every hour.
If they have a fax number then fax them.
E-mail them the account every day.
Those last 4 you can do without losing time from work.
If you have not got time to do this, then it might be better to get a collection company.

If this is the first customer youāve had take 4 days to pay, Iād say youāve been very lucky

Since you probably donāt know who actually decided to hire you, name them all in the small claims case. If they donāt show up for trial, you will win by default. If they do show up, have your crew there to testify to the facts as they occurred that day. Let the judge decide. Once you have won, there will be a judgement entered against their name, which will screw up any type of title search they may need to do in the future (purchase or refinance of a home). The only way to get rid of a judgement is to satisfy it. JMO.

I would call them 3 times per day until they paid you. It is within your rights to collect and to bother them till they do.
Of course not, we have people net 30, did you read the first post?
Thanks for that info
mark,
now that you know theft of services exists in ca. that is good. I would also suggest start documenting everythingā¦write it down in a log bookā¦dates times etc. everything from the worked performed to every call you made and the times. this is just to cover your ass in case they try to make up ****
You will neeed this too to prove to cops if you are to get them locked up
My last course of action was always a āFINAL NOTICEā letter with a CC to a lawyer
this always worked for meā¦but these people sound like they just dont care.
I believe there are harassment laws as well.
Yes there is such as if they say donāt call them anymore, you technically canāt call them anymore
Only if they write you a letter and have it certified in the mail ! A legalism !
Dr.Dange
Iāll call em, hand over the number
Haha thanks man, I probably would have turned over the number to you, finally got paid with the threat of small claims court!
Finally got the money had to throw a small claims court threat at them and they said āGo aheadā 15 minutes later the credit card payment came thru
Great news⦠āScore one for the good guys!ā
Thats great. Too bad some people need to be threatened to take you seriously. Some guys may have given up. Thats probably what they were hoping for. They probably got away with it with others companies.
So, did you sign tthem up for a regular maintenance agreement?
Learn from it man. Change your procedure for these kinds of things and protect yourself going forward.
