I notice over and over that things just aren’t designed to be cleaned/maintained, and not just windows, but basically most things.

Its not new either I’ve seen it for most of my career at least the past 15 years.
And the architects reasoning is that he saw some late night commercial for a magnet window cleaning tool so he decided to build a 50 million dollar design based upon the premise these magnet window cleaning tools will be able to successfully clean like 20000 square feet of glass

Or, they install “self cleaning glass”. Which means that when the owners decide to finally get the windows cleaned 15 years later, the cleaner can’t use razors or wool to get all of the gunk off…

Or they had listen to the sales rep telling them to only hose off the supposed “self cleaning window” to clean. Now they wonder why they can’t see out their window due to hazy white spots.
