That’s the wacky world of shipping for you. I’m pretty sure most distributors wish they didn’t have to deal with the cost of shipping to keep their customers happy.

The actual price of shipping stuff is usually way higher than people think. We are always happy to take a look at alternative methods you just need to let us know.
Your prices are really good so don’t sweat that Chris. We also know that you can’t control what UPS or whoever, charges to ship…
Without a second thought I am sure that Chris and Alex have made the best deals that can be made with shippers on regular orders. Plus they offer free shipping deals all the time, and encourage you to order the heavy stuff at those times. They can’t control this, shipping costs are not under their control.
Do you think that they make money off of shipping costs?
if you want to buy two and get one free, have them pay out of pocket to give you a break on shipping, and have a place to go for a wealth of info you might be asking a little too much. I’m sure that they charge you to ship at their cost. Buy more product and the shipping will be less than the product. Not to be a jerk, but I wouldn’t complain about a few bucks. Wash an extra window on Monday and call it even.
I tend to gawk at shipping prices sometimes too. Just take Into consideration how much it would cost you in gas and how long it would take you to do it. For me, the nearest supply store (who doesn’t carry close to a fraction of the eve) is about 45 min to an hour away. Which translates to about 20 in gas round trip. Instead I do nothing and wcr gets it to me super quick, worth the shipping any day
Considering how quickly they process your order AND how quickly it arrives, I consider it money well spent. They don’t charge a handling fee like a lot of companies do for their products, regardless of what they are (anything on tv says SHIPPING & HANDLING), so it actually could cost us more, but doesn’t.
I’m happy with status quo…

I just pulled a report, our shipping bill with ups in 2012 was $48,000 higher than what we collected in shipping fees. So we lost 48K in shipping, that mostly because of the monthly free shipping promos.
Anyone who whines about shipping is a nincompoop.
Well I dont want to say that, people are smart to make sure they are getting a good value on things. Every cent counts, I just want people to know we dont use shipping as a profit center. We just went through a brutal 90 day negotiation to get lower rates. ( we did )
We even have a UPS sign outside of our warehouse for town people to drop off packages to be shipped. This is an effort to increase our volume with UPS and be able to negotiate even lower rates.
Also I hope sometimes folks look at the whole picture of the WCR experience. Are we the cheapest supplier? NO
But we provide great support through out the entire purchase process. We spend tons of money on the forum here, and time. We actually know about the products we sell, and we provide great after sale support as well.
That’s why I said it 
Seriously though, some people are penny wise but dollar foolish. The thing I don’t like is when people take to the forum to cry and moan, when all they have to do is pick up the phone and call you or Alex for an explanation. This place is so valuable it kind of makes me sick to see people whining about $14, that’s the cost of a good lunch these days for cryin’ out loud!
