What do you charge for an average residential Window?

Lets have it, what would you charge for an average residential window? Keep it single story and tell us what market you work in.

Mine: $6.00 per window in Sutter County, California.
(Does not include window tracks, or excessive deposit removal. Does include screen washing)

Thanks!

I dont price per window. But my average window cleaning job runs between $250 to $350.

My average price per window panel is about $6. I realize quite a few here consider 1 window 2 panels, in which case my avg. is $12.

i’m at $9/$10 for the window and $3/$5 for the screen

For that same level of service I’d charge $12, I’m in San Antonio, Tx

$9 with screens and sills

We like to get $80 to $90 per man an hour.

Ultra Window Cleaning

I charge $5.00 per track so a complete window clean ends up being $11.00 per window. I Give my customers the option to save by eliminating services that they dont feal they need.

Inside: 2.50 Outside: 3.50 Window Track: 5.00= 11.00

15 windows at 11 each would be $165.00 for the average home. Does that seem too low?

We like to get $600 per man hour, tbh

$8.00 per window, tracks included. Screens $1-2 extra depending on how much climbing to get to them.

Has anyone taken you up on doing their tracks at $5/track?

Please keep in mind that I live in Southern California where there is a window cleaner on every corner.

$6.50 per window-includes up to 2 panes and a screen.
sliders are 2 windows
lonely’s count as one window unless they are super small (like 12"x12"), then they count as 1/2 window

So, this price includes screen wash, sills and tracks wiped clean. (not detailed)

This means that I’m working for $50-$70/hour when I’m solo
It also means that Joanne (my wife who does same day, in-person estimates) is told by about 20% of the people that we are too expensive.

The answer is no they have not. I have only cleaned 3 houses so far. Those were exterior only, no detailing. They were family and reluctantly allowed me to test my window scraper on their windows =D test runs. Time things, get the kinks out. See what i was getting myself into. The prices were dirt low of course, $50 but it was a way better margin the my pizza job. Lol

I want to get around $100 per job, so i might impliment a minnimum… well see how it gos wants i start putting my fliers out. Just testing the market right now.

 1. wow, would have never thought that out there, esp having lived there before

 2. “lonely’s” ha ha, good term

 3. there has got to be a way to ramp that up in that high income county - I know of solo operators in OC well above $125 per man hour on the job

 4. “too expensive”, amazing (not leisure world folks are they  )

Hunt Club, Ladera Ranch, Nelli Gail ranch, Coto Ce Caza, Shorecliffs and on and on and on

I personally would love to service all those homes that can be seen from coast highway in Emerald Cove

 1. It’s downright embarrassing to put a doorhangar on a door that already has one or two other window cleaner doorhangars/flyers. Also, it seems like every housekeeping company now does windows in-house-they no longer contract out to “real” window cleaning companies.

 2. I think I got this term from Kurt (5 Star Window Cleaning/Responsibid)

 3. Now that we are in our busy season-booked out 2-3 weeks through August, we are kicking off an EDDM campaign (2000/month) for new customers and we will shoot for $8.00/window. Hopefully this will “ramp it up”.

 4. House rich, cash poor??

I think somewhere on this forum there is a poll on what everybody is charging for a regular double hung window. I wonder it would be interesting to resurrect that thread.

$5 per pane - $10 per window unless it has 3 panes  - Tracks and screens not included.
$4 per screen to wash
$6 (small screens) to $15 (sliders) to screen magic.

When a customer asks if we clean tracks, I tell them we wipe the track, but it probably won’t be clean enough to eat off of.
