What do you guys do

Hey guys,

I rarely get residentiel cleaning customers who ask for only the outside windows to be done. When I do get them I always have difficulty making a price...How do you guys go about it; Do you just cut tha full price of a home in half; thx

I multiply the in/out price by .7 and that’s the exterior pricing for me.

I keep it simple. Half of an in/out price.

But if your cleaning the srceens also it need s to be more. There’s a lot of mold sometimes.

I do 60/70% of the complete window cleaning price.

Exterior has screens, ladders, more obstacles. Not quite 50/50 since I can mostly walk up to every interior window with ease…

You are leaving a TON of money on the table.

Screens are extra. Many homes here do not have screens surprisingly. Furniture and window shades don’t allow just walking up to the interior window and washing it, so ladder and screen, or move furniture and window treatments? Stairways with windows extra. It balances out.

Lucky you, no screens but the furniture obstacles sound like no fun.

Thankfully for me almost all of my customers’ windows are easily accessible on the inside. But everyone has screens, well it feels like every job at least.

You know, I haven’t done a count, but it’s an easy guess that less than half my customers have screens? A lot of folks use A/C year around. Pella’s with screens and that pesky extra pane of glass - hate doing them but love charging for them.

That’s casements are the best around here. The screens are never dirty.

Oh man casements, exterior only… Great jobs

60% my man. You will be in the clear. In and out, nobody gets hurt.

all with WFP…about an hour s work!!

Yes, windows are easy access. Last week I had a particularly difficult time with a two story. Bouganvillia bush (read thorns!), crepe myrtle in front of windows. Why don’t landscapers put them other than RIGHT in front of windows? LOL

60-75% depending on ease of access to outside windows

Dam man ! I would teach all my customers how to clean there own insides. I got the outsides.
It would actually be like having a paid employee . There would be no call backs either

That looks like a perfect Exterior-Only job! Sell them on regular maintenance, using a Good/Better/Best option of Quarterly/Bi-Monthly/Monthly. Your WFP system will be like a money printing press!

How/Where?

“Outside only’s” are a breeze, where I come from.
There’s no…

  • fighting curtains
  • shuffling blinds
  • moving furniture,
  • petting barky/yapping dogs pretending they’re “such a good boy”
