Why use a backpack for window cleaning?

This video looks at how we use the backpack wfp for doing high windows. Take a look at the setup and see what you think

Enjoying the advertorials for Window Cleaning Warehouse and Moerman. Have you stopped using your old supplier? You used to complain about packaging.

I notice you have not used the NLite pole but use the Ebay pole instead for WFP. The NLite is very well made but heavy. I still have the alu NLite but ended up with a Gardiner SLX carbon. So much lighter and less tiring. Also use the Gardiner backpack.

I agree with you Trad Man the back packs are the way to go with water fed poles especially on smaller residential jobs. Less than 50 windows.

Here’s a Wagga video. He also prefers a back pack with barrels over a truck mounted system.

So you buy a backpack to attach to a cart?

i could see it for residential not our commercial

whats the psi on those pumps? looks similar to our hudson backpack sprayers here in US with 60psi pump

im in the process of getting my beast of a cart mounted in my service van so i dont have to load and unload. service van sits waist high!

looking for a vehicle solely for windows wouldnt mind a small pickup with camper or even a vw bus

Now we’re talkin! :sunglasses:

Hey @Trad-Man, I enjoyed the video, thanks for the tips. I just had one question about the psi needed for a system to clean up to two stories maybe three. I think you said in the video that your system goes to 60psi, I’m looking at building my own trolley cart with a 15gal tank but found a compatible pump that is 40psi. Would 40psi be ok, or from your experience is 60psi needed? Thank you!

Rocky I would go with 60psi pump since you possibly will end up doing 3 stories.

Yup, i wouldn’t recommend putting 22L of water on your back.

yeah you’ll always be better with 60 for getting the water up that high. MORE POWER CAPTAIN

Anther back pack built without a handle. The Hudson back packs had a handle on it. Great feature it’s just nice to be able to grab it by the handle. The shurflo I have doesn’t have a handle, yes when I was using it I had it on a cart. A friend of mine just bought a couple of Gardiner back packs they have handles , An flow controller they look really nice. I would highly recommend those here in the states. Don’t think the one you have is sold in the States.

That’s how I roll. The cart is a PITA. I’ve got a Gardener electric back pack no cart and 30ft of WFP hose, no reel. Carbon fiber pole with small brush and small pencil jets. :sunglasses:

How many gal. Is that @BostonMike? 5gal?

Found this bad boy, its got a 9 1/2 gal tank, and a battery also. It maxes out at 130psi. Thinking about this and doing a mod to make it good for wfp. What you guys think?
