Will do SEO work for food

Hey Fellow WCR members! (Especially those with a website)

Where do most of your customers come from?

Could you use a little more business?

Are you sick creating, printing and placing fliers door to door in hopes
someone will be enticed to call you?

Imagine if your phone was ringing with people who are actively SEEKING you
and the services you offer?

FACT: The internet (mainly google, yahoo and BING!) is where people go to
look when they need to find a window cleaner nowadays.

FACT: over 80% of people never look past the first page of the search
results when they search for a local service. And of that 80%, most of
those people click on one of the top 5 sites in the organic listings.

FACT: Unless you can be easily found on google and the other search engines
when potential customers in your area search for window cleaning you are
missing out on some serious growth potential.

Here’s the problem:

When you run a google search for even a specific term, like “North San Diego
County window cleaning” google serves you 716,000 results! Over 80% of
people will only look at the first 10 listings, so if your not to be found
on page one , guess who IS getting all of those customers? NOT YOU!

So how can you make you sure you aren’t giving away money to your competitors?

Here’s your solution:

It’s called Search engine optimization (making your
website search engine friendly) or in other words making google LOVE it, so they out you in
the top 10 of over half a million other search results!

Is it hard to do? Yes and no, SEO firms charge such subsantial fees, and they are mostly charging you for thier knowledge. I’ve spent hundreds of hours scouring the internet for all that I could learn on the subject of SEO.

If you have the time to do this on your own I highly recommend it, that’s what I did after all!

I have received emails in the past from board members asking me to optimize there sights. Unfortunately I just did not have time on my schedule at the time.

My time is still limited, and I can really only take on about 4 websites right now, but I am more than willing to help you market your business online for a very reasonable cost.

Long Story short, Money is tight for me right now and I’m more than willing to take on a few SEO jobs to supplement my income right now. Most sites I can do for under $1,500! You won’t find anyone to do the job right for this price. Well you might find someone who will charge you less, but there’s a good chance you’ll get hosed (other members here have told me they’ve been hosed)

If you are interested, contact me right away, as I can only take on 4 websites right now, but I need to fill those spots quick, cause I need the money and I like SEO work.

btw, Chris kindly gave me permission to post this… Thanks Chris!

$1500.00, you are kidding me right Doug??? That is such a rip off.

That’s a very subjective statement Doug. One man’s ripoff is another man’s bargain. Some window cleaners charge top dollar and they have competitors that charge bargain basement prices. To each his own.

why don’t you pay Doug $1500.00 then???

I’m already on page 1 of Google.

on what search terms??

Just did a search for window cleaning in 52244- you did not show up.

did a search for pressure washing in 52244- you did not come up.

But i did do a search for window cleaning in iowa city, you were number 1.

You have to realize in seo that people type more than 1 keyword. You might think you know what they type, but you prob. dont.

Tony, you have a lot of work to do on your site if you want to be on the 1st page with a broad range of search terms.

Around here Doug people search by city and subject not zip codes. That’s probably because we don’t have a hundred cities running into each other.

How do you know people search by only cities or zip codes?

Everyone I know and have talked to about it do their searches by subject and location. How do you search?

You got me thinking Doug so I Googled window cleaning 52241 (Coralville, Ia which is my most lucrative area) and I’m on page 1.

how about pressure washing? or any other services that you provide?

Those other services are offered so we can upsell a job or provide a one stop shopping process for our clients. My core business is window cleaning. That’s what I gear my marketing towards. After checking window cleaning 52244 I show up on the first page and the google map that is at the top of the page. Also in the 52244 and 52241 zipcodes I show up w/ some of my services.
Sorry for the thread hijack Doug!

well you should gear your marketing to all your services, what if somebody searches for power washing, they hire you, and they find out that you clean gutters and windows, guess what, you prob. just made $1000.00. and they didnt even search for window cleaning.

you just made my point.

Check my last post as I edited it w/ some extra info I found. Of course I don’t run my business the same way you do but that’s the beauty of freedom of choice.

FYI: Most people never look at the local results…

On the bright side, this dialog shows that the $1500 may be money well spent. What is that, like 4 average residential window cleaning jobs? Not everybody has the time, patience, or know-how to do SEO.

Doug, how did I know you’d chime in. LOL. get quotes from actual SEO firms. I did, average cost was $300 per MONTH. some quoted as high as $1,200 per MONTH. $1500 is a killer deal for guaranted work man. If it were somewhere like a small town with not a lot of competition I could of course do it for cheaper because it wouldn’t be so hard.

There is no way someone can properly optimize a website in less than I do have a slight overhead for some things that I outsource, but I’d still make about $1,200 profit for optimizing a site. and It will take about 12 hours of MY time. most SEO’s make over $200 an hour. trust me I have a friend that does it for a living. If I could stand to sit in front of a computer for so many hours, I’d just do that full time.

Being an SEO is a hard job though, it’s more of an art than a science. What happens if google decides to drop a sites ranking for one of 1,000 reasons. and when you are managing a lot of sites, thats a lot of stress. I used to think SEO’s ripped people off, till I optimized my first site for someone else, it’s kinda stressful man.

BTW, I said I can do most sites for UNDER $1,500.

I would highly recommend anyone interested to get a few quotes before hiring me.

I feel crazy for offering the service so cheap, but I am because I need the money, I’m good at SEO and I can do it at night so it won’t interfere with window cleaning.

-I’m on page one in every city I service with thanks to help of Doug, and actually I eventually got up to the top three on page one in all of them.

I guess the only trouble is I can’t figure out is how to compete with the other
window cleaners on ‘local google maps’ for a number of cities, which is that mini listing on page one up on top above the organic listing. I can only get to the top in two cities, but the rest is no chance. The only way I could get up in the other cities is to get an address in that area to have google verify my address.
That costs more money. Is there a way around this?

I do get more calls now since I’m up there on page one, however, I’m pretty sure I’d get even more if I can get on the top of all those local google maps
listings "

Anyone know how to do this?
