Will do SEO work for food

By the way here are 3“secrets” to local the local local listings in google:

1) Include keywords in your title. IE, Mike was wise to call his listing Squeaky Clean window washing Del Mar, etc. but going overboard and doing one for each city you service is a bad idea and you will get penalized for this (meaning your site will drop off the map, period)

So when you make a listing call it, “Super Clean Windows of Dallas, TX” or something like that, as opposed to just “Super Clean Windows”

 1. The closer you are to the geographic center of the city being searched the higher the likelyhood you will rank well.

3)get cusomers to review you, the number of reviews you have (regardless of whether they are good or bad reviews) plays a big role as well.

Yo Doug! Check it out bro:

Yes you are correct, I am only listed in the city i live in, I know KC Power Clean is listed in multiple cities.

Be careful Kris.

SICK Bro! I’m happy for you! Now we just gotta knock Lilly’s out of the number 1 position!
Age of a URL is something google puts heavy emphasis on and since our sites our much newer than lilly’s it’s gonna be a chore, but I’d rather it be you up there then them

Actually Doug, Google allows you to list in as many cities as you want. If that was not the case then a franchise such as Fish would be in big trouble. Google does not penalize Fish for being in hundreds of cities across America and you can find Fish in just about every city in So Cal.

You just have to know the rules. As for coming up multiple times in Rancho Santa Fe that is because Google is showing listings from near by cities. Google has not found enough window cleaning businesses in Rancho Santa Fe so its pulling from near by cities.

I might not be under the search term you listed but I come up on a lot of other search terms, many that you don’t. And many that you place poorly on. So in the end it just depends on what other people are typing in to find a window cleaner. You place well under many search terms and not so well on others and not at all on others, Its the same for me.

For window cleaning San Diego, you are right I show up on the second page. I have been focusing my efforts on North County Cities. San Diego is an important search term and I will have to optimize for that. But I haven’t been to worried about that as I try to work closer to where I live first.

I don’t have anything to prove as I’m not doing SEO to eat, I simply through my comment in for fun. I know what I know and have plenty of work cleaning windows and that’s all that matters to me.

dude, mike it’s chill I have no animosity towards you.

In Fish’s case, they actually have offices in those locations…

But whatev’s I’m not trying to tell you to delete your listings or anything like that, believe me, it doesn’t bother me in the slightest! , I just don’t recommend it to anyone else who might think it’s a good idea.

Peace brotha!

Lily, has way more content than you guys too, there website looks stupid, it looks like a online newspaper.

go to their website and click on the insurance link and this is what you will see, check it out:

Warning about “licensed & insured” cleaning companies:

CLEANING COMPANIES ARE NOT LICENSED OR REGULATED BY THE STATE.

IF A CLEANING COMPANY IS ADVERTISING THAT THEY ARE “LICENSED & INSURED,” MAKE THEM SHOW YOU PROOF.

ANYONE PERSON GET A CITY LICENSE BY PAYING A FEE, THERE IS NO MINIMUM REQUIREMENT FOR A CITY LICENSE.

IF A CLEANING COMPANY SAYS THEY ARE INSURED, THERE INSURANCE BROKER SHOULD BE ABLE TO SEND YOU PROOF OF INSURANCE.

IF THEY DO NOT CARRY WORKER’S COMPENSATION INSURANCE OR “DON’T NEED IT BECAUSE THEY ONLY HAVE INDEPENDENT CONTRACTORS” DO NOT HIRE THEM. THIS IS AN UNETHICAL AND SOMETIMES ILLEGAL BUSINESS PRACTICE. IF THEIR EMPLOYEE GETS INJURED THE HOME OWNER MAY BE STUCK WITH THE BILL!

Now click on the BBB logo and you get this:

Nice job lily,
way to go for a top listing.

LMAO, that is really funny.

Has anyone is San Diego actually ever seen a Lily’s window cleaning truck? Just curious, I haven’t, but I always thought they were a big company, perhaps I was mistaken?

Ive seen them, they have white vans I believe. Stuffed with all kinds of things. Met a couple guys from skyriders too. Theyre pretty much only high rise, nice guys, but he told me he only makes 20 an hour, he was the lead man too. I checked the reviews for lilys, and they have 4 or 5 HORRIBLE reviews.

I met a guy from skyriders at a commercial bid. Seemed like a really cool guy.

Mike, here are the local business guidelines from Google’s own help center:

“Represent your business exactly as it appears in the offline world. The name on Google Maps should match the business name, as should the address, phone number and website.”

“Do not attempt to manipulate search results by adding extraneous keywords into the title field, and do not include phone numbers or URLs in the title along with your proper business name.”

“Create only one listing for each physical location of your business. Do not create more than one listing for each business location, either in a single account or multiple accounts. Service area businesses, for example, should not create a listing for every town they service. Likewise, law firms or doctors should not create multiple listings to cover all of their specialties.”

Businesses like “Fish” get away with this since they have franchises in the areas the represent much like McDonalds or Walmart. They also have individual business licenses for all these areas.

Before it sounds like I’m getting down on you … I too have two locations listed for google local … but it is risky!

Lets cut all the crap now !!!

I will do your SEO for drinks

I think you get 3 locations without google checking for verification that you live there. For instance, the fourth location, they said that they were sending a postcard with a code to that address to verify that we operated business out of that location

Interesting…

Hows Sept schedule Kris?

ahh, mas-o-menos

were still working on filling it up…

ahhhhhhhh…

I’m booking up October now.

have u used your new slx yet?

Yeah I’ve heard some not so good things about them before. But more importantly, Nice sig Tory. “He’s Beetle, he’s as bad as can, and he knows he’s the best.” My favorite wackpacker!
Especially when they take him to McDonalds to order food and give him monopoly money to pay for it.

Sorry for the threadjacking. Back to the topic at hand.

ha ha, it’s cool, I don’t think there really is even a topic anymore! We got a lot of San Diego and Orange county people on this thread though!
