You have or want an unger ninja squeegee ? Check this out!

while working today found something out about the UNGER NINJA

‪Ninja End clips‬‏ - YouTube

watch this video i made today and it will explain things

  1. much less detailing !
  2. less weight !
    3 ) fits in boab !

You made a Slayer channel! …no difference.

John

Thanks for this info. I was wondering if the channel was usable without the clips. I didn’t like them even though I’ve never used a Ninja. What is the difference between the modified Unger and the Ettore and Pulex wide bodies?

sorry karl !.. there are 2 big differences here i can put soft or hard blades in here depending on the weather . cant do that with a slayer or sörbo etc

and the channel is automatically dog eared with the clip placement… ( the clip length / angle needs a little work to get the perfect angle still )

but it works much Much better than before !

i used it today with this modification… its beautiful … nobody likes those pesky end clips on the NINJA !!!

now

much less detailing .( none ) due to the less detailing i have saved time . due to the less weight i have saved energy… du to the slimmer channel . it fits better in my BOAB

and it takes soft and hard rubber . which the other channels do not for when you have hot and cold weather !

Now with my invention or design if you like !!! Lol

the clip is also dog earing the channel automatically … ( no cutting of channels here ) and requires much less detailing of the glass after you have squeegeed off the solution … or none in some instances … its a small breakthrough IMO !!!

Didn’t think of the soft option! Does the Ninja use it’s own rubber or any manufacturers?

Are you able to use the Ninja’s upper rubber position or just the lower one?

the unger Ninja takes the normal hard and soft squeegee rubber blades as sold by Unger for the normal green ergo tech etc

You pulling my leg Karl right ? Lol

ninja channels can accomodate any standard rubber pretty much, Unger, Ettore, Pulex and although I haven’t tried yet, wagtail as well.

mark this i a good question wait one minute i will find out … 1…2…3…4…59

just tried it does work mark…

the point here is its automatically dog eared… just makes sure the modified end clip is reduced from its original normal length . to around 30- 40 % ( rough estimate )

this dog earing will greatly decrease detailing when using the Squeegee ( or any squeegee for that matter )

looks a very cool solution . i have been hanging back from buying a Ninja ,i saw one close up in my town but it looked a tad clunky

but i just might splash-the-cash now !

well if people actually try this and like it possibly is going to / could kill Ungers new boab possibly and there use of those clumpy end clips they use…

I don’t own the Ninja John - waiting for them to fix the end clip problem & get a zero degree in there (as mentioned on another forum). But wide bodied channels usually take wide bodied squeegee blades.

Hey Germany Johnny,

I agree with that point you made about the good old dog ear that comes down from all them old time “Sons of Ettore” …It does work fantastic and it does cut out detailing to the maximum !

I was given a ninja and I used it once, it’s been sitting in a locker now for there or four months. I’ll try your modification…

Back at you G-Johnny-Ski

Dange seeing the Range

you dont miss much karl… surprised you missed that … it functions just like that other squeegee you have Karl… but with 2 differences . soft and hard rubber choice and dog eared

Dangerous hi ! just make sure the end clip you are using is the right one and cut it in half roughly and make sure it is placed in the right hole./ position.

john

Because I don’t have the Ninja channel I haven’t been caught up in the hype.
I use the Soren rubber for a softer touch on wider bodied channels. The dog eared comes when using any channel with clips. I also find longevity of the rubber is reduced with the clips but not as much as when the channels are bent in.

Aren’t you just saying remove the Ninja clips and use another clip?
