Anybody want to share an image of your invoices?

I don’t have a fresh example to post, because I can only post a real invoice and don’t feel like editing one, but I can’t recommend Wave accounting enough. Free. Invoices look awesome, it tells you if they were saved, sent, or viewed and you can accept stripe credit card payments if you’re into that type of thing. There’s a receipt scanning app and did I mention it’s free.

I should add, you can choose which invoices to accept credit card payments on too. Pain in the butt store front clients I like credit card payments. Big clients no cc.

Thanks for the ideas, guys. I should have shared shots of mine, so I will do that now. I think the main change will be at the top of the invoice. My new one will have my new logo instead of that old window pane. The other shot is the invoice I send from Quickbooks.

Sorry about that. I don’t know how to post images without them showing up so large.

Majestic66 Your quick new customer paper invoices are exactly what I’m looking for, did you get them locally made or online?

Also I’m not sure anyone answered your question but QB online most basic service is $10 a month and you can still generate profit and loss reports and the like.

Yes i got those from a local printer.

Ya I need to switch to online. It’s long over due. It will be sweet to be able to have access to QB while I’m out in the field. $10 is nothing well worth it. Thanks !!!

you got bored of some thing that worked…that really bum’s me out!

I know, man. [hangs head a little lower] :o

I’ve been meaning to do something cool graphically…
But you know how it goes; a day turns to a week, turns to a month, and so on…
This was probably 3 years ago, now.

I swear, there might be something to this whole ‘outsourcing’ IT work.

I’ll do it tomorrow kinda thing… What if the next job required it?

“The next job” is why I have blown it off for so long…

But I appreciate the smack upside the head.
(seriously, no joke) Good point.

Necessity is the mother of all invention…

Here is the new invoice I came up with:

I used to work for a window cleaning company out of Fort Collins Co. and you would be suprised how many people are just smoking away while your cleaning their windows. All different demographics to. That state is definitely entertaining to say the least. On another note I will do a hand written estimate and than when they are on the schedule I will make a solid copy invoice on the computer. No quickbooks yet, but I use a template from word (still in the starting out stages). Am I waisting time?

If you’re just starting out get into QuickBooks online, I pay $12/month I think and it’s just the basic package and worth it.

Thanks I’ll look into it. I didn’t know quickbooks got that low in price.

They also have a 30 day free trial, I was only using Jobber for everything I need and read more into QuickBooks and was sold on all of the expense tracking. After tax time this year I decided to stay on top of everything throughout the year consistently instead of waiting until tax time to be ready for tax time.

I just ordered it after using 2009 for all those years. I have to say it looks really nice platform. Need to learn it though

We now email invoices whenever possible but this is what we used to use all the time.

Really liking QB online . I have been playing with it all day . Definitely worth the money . Quick question I’m still learning the new platform. so I have to work out of the old version for now .

Is there a way to have the online automatically update from the old version, or do I have to manually do it ?

This is what I found off the site:

"You can check these links on how to import your file from QuickBooks Desktop to QuickBooks Online.:relaxed:

https://qboe.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/6018 "

If you are already using it just use the help button on the top right of the page if you have further questions. I started with QBO so I can’t say anything from experience about importing. Hope that helps.
